A 20 something blogger has had another birthday, and to be honest it has been extremely busy and I felt like I haven’t stopped. Although saying that I have had a lovely time with my family and friends and boyfriend.
I started my celebrations a little early this month by going to Brighton with some of my best friends and celebrated a night out with them. It was a fantastic night, we always have a great time dancing till our feet hurt laughing so much that our bellies ache and just enjoying each others company with a few festive drinks.
I love Brighton I wish I could go more often than I do. The vibes and just the atmosphere are so different, it makes me feel like I am very far away from home yet in reality I am just 1 hour away. I already have plans to go back very soon to explore and visit all the places I love.
Anyway I am trailing off thought, going back to my birthday. My birthday is on 11th, however on the 10th my boyfriend took me to London for the day and we went to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. I love going here as I find it so magical and really makes me feel like Christmas is on its way, with all the lights and Christmas trees.
Even though it is a free event to go to, it was rather expensive as we did different attractions including the Ferris wheel, different rides and obviously some Christmas drinks. I had an amazing time, ate some yummy food and enjoyed all the different attractions. I think my highlight for this year was the circus act. I haven’t been to the circus in years and I forgot how much fun and how exciting it is to go. I already want to see Cirque Du Soleil next year.
We had to get back to Waterloo to get our train back and we decided to walk back and have a look at some of the lights and different Christmas trees. It was very magical and London at Christmas is a perfect time of year to walk around, as long as you are wearing suitable clothes. We also walked past one of my favourite cafes called ‘Elan Café’. I have written a full review click the link to find out why I love it so much.
Every year I love to have a special breakfast and as I am trying to save some money, I decided to stay at home and cook a brunch style breakfast myself. My ultimate favourite is scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, so I had this on a toasted English muffin and a side of spinach. It was delicious and I love how healthy it is. Breakfast/brunch is my favourite meal of the day, and it is always a great day when brunch plans have been made.
Also on the day of my birthday was the work Christmas party and that was a great event to see everybody all relaxed and enjoying themselves. Also everyone looked great and very festive, it was lovely to celebrate with all before we are back to work over the Christmas period.
I was such a lucky girl this year and received some lovely gifts from my family, even though just being able to spend the day with them all meant the most me.
Last weekend I had a gorgeous meal with the rest of my family, in a carvery not to far away from Brighton. It is a great time to meet up with everyone before everyone is extremely busy before the New Year.
Even though it has been a very busy couple of months I have really enjoyed my birthday, made even more special as this is the first birthday/Christmas with my boyfriend . Although we are working Christmas Day we will be making it special and doing our own mini Christmas just before New Year.
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas, doing whatever it is you are doing.
If you are working, do you have plans to celebrate another day; I would love to hear your thoughts.
I will be doing a further Christmas post, where I shall be revealing my New Year goals, an overview of this year. Plus a few cheeky ideas of what I already have planned for 2019.
Merry Christmas! Ya filthy animals. – (Home alone is my favourite Christmas movie)
