Last week I travelled into London and went to the ideal home show Christmas edition.
Now I can sit back and say it really does feel like Christmas is on its way. How it was all set up was great, having foodie speakers upstairs with all the food stalls and champagne bar, which didn’t take me long to find. Downstairs were all the Christmas stalls including Christmas decorations, perfect gift ideas, and a small stage area where talkers could discuss things such as “Christmas table etiquette and how to style your home at Christmas”.
Having so many Christmas trees and fake snow around it really did make the whole experience very magical. Throughout the day in the centre of the building there were singers and small choirs who sung a variety of different Christmas songs, I must say I really was rather impressed. There were so many different things to walk round and have a look at that it did take up most of the day. There were so many stalls and coffee stops to get you through, as I know for one a day of shopping can be rather exhausting.
There were so many things I would have loved to of purchase but I had to be sensible for no other reason that I had to get the train back and it would have been awful with arms full of stuff. I did come across a makeup stall and the company called Miinachi and I have to say there eye shadow palettes were beautiful, the colours are bright and fresh and the pigment is incredible. I bought the sunset palette and I couldn’t be happier.
After looking at their website the have so many other products and I will deffo be trying out their lashes.
After a few hours of walking around we came across the Aperol spritz stall along with a gin stand and cocktail making area. I couldn’t resist walking past and not having a look at what drinks were being made, it was a well-deserved 20-minute break. I did really enjoyed having a look at the Christmas cake competition; some of the applicants were just incredible.
A couple of my favourite ones below:
One of my favourite parts of the day was listening to the editors and other designers of ‘Good housekeeping magazine’ talk about how to style your home at Christmas, It was a perfect discussion as it covered so many different looks suitable for all styles of homes. I took so much away from this talk; the lovely ladies who spoke even put together room set ups with all varieties of looks. Overall the day was incredible, and it has made me super excited to when I am I a position to purchase my own house and make it all beautiful and make it super Christmassy. I would recommend anyone who wants to go, as it is just a perfect day out. Also if you look around for tickets you’ll more than likely be able to get them cheaper. I found mine of Groupon and they were a bargain.
Let me know what you thought of the ideal home show if you went?
Have you been to one before?
Have you been to a different one – the non-Christmas edition?
Let me know I would love to hear your thoughts.
Love Chloe xx
